Lifetime Sport Fisher Single or Tandem Kayak Features
Some of the top features that the Sport Fisher possesses…
Up To 3 On Board
It’s possible to fit 3 riders in total (2 paddlers and a third passenger), so there’s plenty of room on board.
There’s even more room on board for fishing, camping or other goods.
The two ergonomic seats provide comfortable paddling, while making sure you don’t strain your back because of poor posture. The third seat is molded in and allows a third person to sit side-on.
Tunnel Hull Stability
The hull has been designed for stability, without compromising tracking. Made from polyethylene, it is incredibly tough and is designed to last as well as enable stand up fishing, or if you prefer, to fish side-saddle.
The shell is UV protected. This helps stop peeling, fading and cracking.
Four Fishing Pole Holders
If you plan to undertake a spot of tandem fishing, you’re going to appreciate some fishing pole holders.
Lifetime have provided four of these in total, two either side of the main seats…so they are strategically placed.
Plenty Of Room For Storage
The bow area has some storage space for your fishing equipment, or anything else you may want to take with you. Use the shock cord straps to help secure items in place.
In fact, including all passengers, the Sport Fisher can hold up to 500lbs in weight.
There’s also a convenient 6 inch storage hatch at the rear.
Scupper Holes
To help with safety, there’s scupper holes to help drain water away should too much get in.
Multiple Footrests
Any size of paddler can use this kayak. There are several footrest positions to choose from.
Carry & Paddle
There are handles at the front and rear to help you with carrying. There are also two sets of paddles, cradles and clips so that both paddlers are good to go!
Also includes fittings to mount an optional trolling motor or rudder.
Overall
Pros
- Users have noted that the Sport Fisher is good value for money.
- There’s plenty of room for three people and it can deal with wavy, choppy waters very well.
Cons
- Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a rudder. Luckily, there is an option to attach one should you wish. It does help with tracking and stability, but most users don’t bother as they have found that it’s fine without.
