- Weight: 50 pounds
- Weight Capacity: 275 pounds
Who Is The Tioga Suitable For?
The Tioga is a sit-on-top yak that’s designed for flatwater paddling, such as on lakes, inland waterways and slow moving rivers. It can be ideal for beginners or for families looking to get out on the water for recreational paddling.
It’s built with stability in mind, which means it could be beneficial if you also like to fish. However, it’s not specifically designed for fishing, so there are no dedicated features, such as rod holders.
Recreational yaks, like the Tioga, can be great for getting exercise and the 2 pack of yaks means you can exercise and enjoy the water with a friend.
However, f you’re after a speedier vessel that can handle long paddling sessions, a longer, narrower yak may be better.
Lifetime Tioga 120 Kayak Features
The Lifetime Tioga 120 is a 12-foot recreational sit-on-top kayak. The package comes with two of the Tioga kayaks, two seat backs and two paddles.
Flatwater Hull
The Tioga is designed to be a stable craft on flatwater. The flat bottom of the hull features deep channels to allow for better tracking. This may make this yak ideal for beginners who haven’t quite mastered paddling technique yet.
The hull also features chine rails for improved primary stability on flatwater, which can be reassuring for new paddlers. As well as this, it’s designed to be easy to maneuver, making it a good size for smaller bodies of water.
Deck Storage
There’s a bow storage well with bungee rigging that’s spacious enough for holding a dry bag or lunch gear. As well as this, there’s a rear tank well behind the seat that can be ideal for storing a crate or cooler.
The 6 inch storage hatch in the stern can let you store additional items within the hull. It’s essentially the same yak as the Tahoma, but with the placement of the hatch being in front of the seat on the Tahoma.
