Being inflatable, the 285FPB can also be ideal for heading to more remote bodies of water. It can also be used in water that’s only 4 inches deep, so you can access areas that are harder for traditional boats to reach.
This inflatable boat is designed for both freshwater and saltwater, so it can be ideal for rivers, lakes, bays and wherever else you might want to fish.
Customizable
A great feature of this compact boat is that it can be rigged just how you like it. As standard the boat comes with two universal Scotty mounts that can be useful for attaching your favorite accessories, such as rod holders or a camera mount.
While the boat comes with a set of oars and a pre-installed oarlock system, it also has the option of having a motor mount and motor installed (included with some packages). This can give you the benefit of increased power if you need it.
High Weight Capacity
The Sea Eagle 285FPB has a generous weight capacity of 450 pounds, which can make it a good option if you’re a larger angler.
The high weight capacity can also be useful for bringing fishing gear with you. What About Packages?
The Sea Eagle 285FPB comes in a selection of packages designed to suit different types of anglers. The most affordable package is the Deluxe, which comes with an inflatable seat with high seat back, as well as a foot pump, a set of oars, a bow storage bag and a repair kit.
The Deluxe package can be ideal if you’re looking for an easy way to get out on the water, with minimal accessories.
The Pro package features an upgraded swivel seat for increased visibility, rod holders and a motor mount. It also has a stripping apron with fish ruler, in addition to the standard features found on the Deluxe version.
There are also three packages that include motors: the Minn Kota Motor, the Honda Motor and the Watersnake Motor packages.

Sea Eagle 375 FoldCat
The Sea Eagle 375FC FoldCat is a larger alternative that could be a better choice if you’re looking for more space or if you want to bring along a second person or a dog. This 12 foot 4 inch inflatable pontoon style boat features an aluminum platform that can be more suitable for standing. It also features oars and two swivel seats, and some of the packages include a motor.
Aquaglide Blackfoot Angler 125 HB Inflatable Kayak
The Aquaglide Blackfoot Angler 125 HB is a 12 foot 8 inch inflatable kayak that can be great for either one or two paddlers. It has a 600 pound capacity and plenty of space for gear. It also has adjustable seats, a fishing cooler with built-in rod holders and seven Scotty mounts for additional accessories.
The removable skeg can also help with performance but this boat does not come with a pump.
Sea Eagle PackFish 7
The Sea Eagle PackFish 7 might be a good alternative if you want even more portability. This lightweight, compact and affordable little fishing boat weighs just 22 pounds and comes with rod holders and fish rulers. It can also be carried on your back so you can hike to more remote locations.
However, this 7 foot boat is more compact, so less spacious and has a lower capacity of 300 pounds.
